For this installation, Yeoman (SW) Ltd gave the heating system a complete overhaul. The 40+ year-old cast-iron boiler and hot water cylinder were upgraded with a new Vaillant combination boiler.
In the kitchen cupboard where the boiler once stood, a heated towel rail was installed with a timed electric element for the summer months and connection to the central heating for the winter.
The new boiler was installed in place of the hot water cylinder in the airing cupboard upstairs. There was no access to drainage from this position, so a Vaillant condense pump was also installed to pump condensate from the boiler to the soil pipe in the loft above.
New radiators were installed with thermostatic valves, and this installation also included Vaillant’s VRT350F load compensating, Boiler Plus compliant programmable room thermostat. These controls automatically upgrade the standard 7 year warranty to a 10 year parts and labour warranty, ensuring our customer has long-term peace of mind and confidence in their new boiler.
The heating system was flushed using our Thoroughflush fresh water cleaning system, and a Spirotech MB3 filter and Siprotech RV2 de-aerator were installed for ongoing boiler and heating system protection.
