What is a Solid Fuel Appliance?

Most people think of burning wood in a stove, but if you have a multi-fuel stove you can also burn other fuels such as briquettes and pellets.

Multi-fuel stoves can burn wood, smokeless fuel and coal. There are differences in the way these fuels burn, and not all multi-fuel stoves are optimised for burning all compatible fuels with equal efficiency.

We can advise you on what would be the most suitable solid fuel appliance for your household, so that adding heat to your home with an efficient and correctly sized solid fuel stove means you can keep snug by the most cost-effective way.

As registered installers, we are trained and approved to UKAS standards and can self-certify that our work complies with the relevant building regulations.

Carbon Monoxide

Carbon monoxide (CO) is a toxic gas that is odourless and colourless, meaning it is almost impossible to identify without a proper detector. Carbon monoxide is produced when fuel is not burnt properly.

A carbon monoxide alarm is provided with every solid fuel installation. We will also provide you with clear instructions on how to safely use your new appliance during our handover process.
